Short Horizontal Downhole Motor

With the development of drilling technologythe number of horizontal wells with large displacement and long horizonta sections is increasing. In the process of horizontal well drilling the length of Downhole Motor in front of MWD has a great influence on well trajectory and well bore qualityTheoretically the shorter the lenath of Downhole Motorthe betterHowever after the lenath of Downhole Motor is shortenedthe powe output of motor, the axial and radial bearing capacity of transmission shaft and the overall service life of drilling tool can not be affected. At the same timethe overall deviation making ability of the downhole motor is increased.
The horizontal short Downhole Motor developed by Tianhe Oi Group,through advanced high-performance rubber technology finite element structural stress analysis and calculation,perfect bench test and detection means.optimized structural desian and performance parameters is suitable for various complex horizontal drilling conditions, and effectively solves the above problems.

Motor Assembly
Downhole motor rotor is manufactured from high quality alloy steel, while s-rotor is made of rubber. High force and tearing strength of the rubber stator allows the tool to run in  the
high temperatures (about 180 ºC ) and high oil mud condition. All these benefits help to
maintain effective operation.

We produce the downhole motor with an external coating on the motor rotor that gives the tool a much longer service life.


Cardan Shaft Assembly
The function of cardan shaft is to convert planetary motion into fixed constant rotation of drive shaft, to transmit torque and speed from motor on the drive shaft and to the bit.

Drive Shaft Assembly
The driveshaft assembly converts the eccentric motion of the rotor into concentric rotation for the bearing assembly. It also accommodates any angle set on the adjustable bent housing (or fixed bend housing) and carries the thrust load from the rotor caused by the pressure drop across the power section.

The drive shaft assembly are forged using superior alloy steel, it gives the shaft assembly good strength and toughness and also greatly improve the anti-fatigue capacity during  the rotating movement, thus giving the downhole motor a much longer service life.

Through the advanced high-performance rubber technology the output power of the motor is greatly improved and the overall power of the drilling tool is guaranteed under the condition of reducing the number of stages.
Through the advanced series bearing technologythe axial bearing capacity of the drive shaft is improved and the working condition of the drilling tool under high WOB is ensured.
The bending point distance is reduced to the maximum extent and the tool slope is improvedThe slope of the drilling tool is increased from 9.7 degree/100M of the general drilling tool to 14.9 degree/10Mwhich effectively improves the drilling speed of the machine.
High wear resistant TC bearing technologywith patent technology.
The whole Downhole Motor is shortened by nearly 3000 mm the drilling trajectory is smoother and the quality of horizontal section is better.
